First photo released from Iran US-set flick

Iranian actor Mehran Ahmadi’s directorial debut ‘Confiscation’ reveals first photo.

Iranian actor Mehran Ahmadi’s directorial debut ‘Confiscation’ set in the US state of California has released first photo.

According to a Wednesday local media report, the film marking first experience of the famed Iranian actor as a helmer will be on its way to completion for 2018 edition of Fajr Film Festival in Iran.  

The feature-length comedy stars Reza Attaran, Houman Seyyedi, Babak Hamidian and Mirtaher Mazloumi.

“Iran is way too big, though we are unlucky,” a short synopsis for the film teases.

The director also stars in his film, a report says.

Ahmadi studied theater and began his cinematic career in 2006 with the movie ‘Adam’.

His performance in movies like ‘Nothing’ (2009), ‘Persisting Dreams’ (2009), ‘Thirteen 59 (1980)’ (2010) and ‘Alzheimer’ (2010) were positively received by critics and audiences.

Some of the other movies in which he has appeared include ‘Twenty’ (2008), ‘Absolutely Tame is a Horse’ (2010), ‘Without Reason or Cause’(2011), ‘Hatred’ (2011), ‘Bright Day’ (2012), ‘Track 143’ (2013) and ‘Raspberries’ (2013).

Ahamdi has also played roles in the series ‘Alone in the Dark’ (1999), ‘Foggy Days’ (2000) , ‘Until Being with Sorayya’ (2011), ‘The Capital 2 and 3’ (2012 and 2014),
